Apr. 4, 2009 - Binghamton, New York, USA - Crime scene investigation is on going, at The American Civic Association Center, an immigration services center, was where Vietnamese immigrant, Jiverly Wong, 41, killed 13 people on April 3, 2009. Wong wore body armor and anticipated a shootout with cops. Wong - who also used the last name Voong - shot his victims repeatedly during the brief and brutal attack. After hearing police sirens, Wong killed himself as 3 wounded victims looked on. Wong, who was often mocked for his inability to speak English, was taking language classes at the association until dropping out in the first week of March. Wong recently lost his job at a local factory. Wong, used a borrowed car to block a rear exit before walking wordlessly and opened fire. Killing 11 immigrants studying for a citizenship test before pumping a single bullet into his own head. The dead students were from Brazil, China, Haiti, Iraq, Pakistan, Philippines and Vietnam. The 4 critically injured survivors is the heroic receptionist who called 911. Shirely DeLucia, 61, who feigned death after she was shot in the stomach and then summoned police, praised by Police Chief Zikuski for her efforts. 'She's a heroine, and I believe she saved many lives.' 37 hostages escaped unharmed after the bleeding receptionist crawled beneath a desk to dial 911
