This photo taken Dec. 29, 2009 shows hand-painted wooden combs are displayed in a case at Carpenter Tan, a store in the Flushing Mall in Flushing, Queens in New York. The store sells nothing but combs and brushes from $6 to 200. The most elaborate are handmade sandalwood combs with inlaid mother-of-pearl designs, suitable for a special gift.
