US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton predicted Thursday that NATO allies would make a number of announcements promising to send extra troops to Afghanistan.
"We'll begin to have tomorrow (Friday) a number of public announcements for additional troops," Clinton told reporters on the plane before taking off for a NATO meeting in Brussels.
"The response (from allies) has been positive. We feel good about this," she said as President Barack Obama's administration appealed for NATO to complement the 30,000 US troops being sent to Afghanistan.
