On each of two previous visits to The View, Ann Coulter got into a tense exchange with the hosts first over protesters in 2011 and then on race relations in 2012.
This time around while promoting her new book Adios, America Coulter was involved in a heated debate over immigration when co-host Raven-Symone broke in, insisting she get to ask a question of her own.
Can I interrupt you for 2 seconds, please? I have a question. My mom taught me when I was younger, if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all. And why do you think thats important to mud sling…when were taught something different as a child?
Could you explain that to me and why do you think your success is based off of that?
To which Coulter responded:
Well, Im at least talking about policy. You have a position on what peoples names should be Watermelandrea. Youll insult people for their names.
The reference was to a statement Raven made last week when she identified herself as very discriminatory when it comes to names, saying that shes not about to hire you if your name is Watermelondrea.
Im talking about a government policy that affects all Americans and immigrants and the people living here. And its harming our country.
