The Democrats are licking their wounds that were left in early November and now they are trying to figure out why they lost so heavily. They now control no part of the house, senate, or the presidency and they have the potential to lose the Supreme Court as well.
They are coming to find that maybe if their policies were so beloved by the people than why do they no longer control our government?
Obama is now blaming geography and the system that got him elected for the Democrats losing control of the government.
According to The Gateway Pundit:
In 2010 Democrats lost the House to Republicans.
In 2014 Democrats lost the Senate to Republicans.
In 2016 Democrats lost the presidency to Republicans.
Republicans increased their control in state legislatures leaving Democrats with their lowest level since the Civil War.
Rich Edson has since asked Barack Obama about the Democrats’ historic losses and his response was epic.
Some of that is the nature of our system and geography. As long as Wyoming gets the same number of senators as California there’s going to be some tilt toward Republicans when it comes to representative races. The fact that a lot of Democrat voters are bunched up in cities and a lot of Republican voters are spread out.
