Connecticut and Kentucky were the latest targets but there have been increased bomb threats in New York, Florida, and Chicago.The first threat was emailed overnight to the Jewish Community Center in West Hartford Connecticut. Authorities and center officials swept the building, but found no such explosives, the station said. It was the second time this year the center has been the subject of such threats. Louisville Jewish Community Center another bomb threat was called in, with authorities arriving minutes later.
“The recent rise in anti-Semitism, discrimination and the rhetoric of hate, including the recent acts of desecration on Jewish cemeteries in St. Louis and Philadelphia, are difficult to absorb and understand,” she said in a statement. “Yet, this moment is not just a Jewish moment. This is a cultural moment, in which we are challenged to stand united against all hatred and discrimination.”
